What is Electrical and Electronics Engineering

Engineering is the most popular and useful branch of science that is concerned with the design and construction of various machines, and structures. For operations of all machines, we need some sort of power by the virtue of which a machine can operate.

Of all available forms of power, the electrical power is the most efficient and cleanest form of power that can be generated at one place and can be transferred hundreds of miles away.

Electrical and Electronics Engineering is primarily focused on two subjects:

  • Power: It involves the study of generation, transmission, and distribution of electric power and various elements that are responsible for this power transmission
  • Electronics: It involves the study of electronic components, their working, and applications

In simple words, we can define Electrical and Electronics Engineering as:

The branch of engineering which is focused on generation, transmission, and distribution of electric power and the components which utilize this power.
